Future, the United Kingdom based media outlet, has official announced a series across it’s publications despite high profit margins forecast for the end of the month, according to an official statement.
Editorial staff across brands such as TechRadar Gaming, Android Central, Windows Central and iMore are affected, although how extensive the layoffs will be has yet to be determined.
“It is with regret that a very small number of colleagues were affected, following a structure change to one vertical of our extensive brands,” Future said on their official Twitter page. “With the current climate and addressing these challenges, it was a very difficult decision for us to make.”
Earlier this year, an article from the Press Gazette reported that Future has the largest pay discrepancy between average employees and executive, with CEO salaries reaching around 240 times higher than the average employee salary.
