Less than a year following it’s highly-anticipate relaunch, G4TV has reportedly laid off between 20 and 30 members of staff this week, with many of the staff shocked at the sudden turn, according to Kotaku.
G4TV was originally launched in 2002, but shut down in 2014 during the surge of online video content. However, it rose from the dead back in November 2021 with a new format, a mix of cbale TV programming and content from Twitch channels sprinkled in.
The report states that G4TV has been struggling financially, with managers told to find ways to cut costs.
