One of the most popular streamers on Twitch apparently isn’t immune to the negative and toxic impact of hackers, as Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel’s official Twitter page was hacked during one of his live Twitch streams.
The hackers took over his Twitter account and proceeded to post messages on his Twitter page such as “f%$k you xqc we own u bro”, and also used his page to promote other pages.
xQc discussed it as it happened during his live stream, saying that he couldn’t reset his Twitter password because the hackers locked it by attempting multiple times.
xQc then asked his viewers to help by reporting the hacked account, and received an update from Twitter several minutes later saying that they were looking into the situation.
Ultimately, xQc was able to regain access to his Twitter account, but it goes to show the lengths that hackers can go to to infiltrate social media accounts, and even the most popular accounts can be subjected to their attacks as well.
