A Tokyo cat shelter is live-streaming on Twitch, but not for the reason you would think. In fact, cat shelter Nyandantei, is using their Twitch channel to broadcast a 24 stream of the cats in their shelter.
Nyandantei, which is located in Tokyo’s Megurohoncho neighborhood, fosters about 15 cats of all ages that are looking for new homes in Japan, but with visitors restricted due to the coronavirus pandemic, the shelter has resorted to new ways to help their cats get adopted.
Furthermore, if anyone would like to setup a visit, the cost is ¥800 for the first hour and ¥200 for each additional 15 minutes, with the funds going towards the cats’ living and medical expenses.
Since we are big supporters of animal shelters, rescues, and adoptions, we would be happy to ask anyone reading this to make a donation to the shelter by either supporting their twitch channel here, or making a donation on their official website.
