Popular YouTube streamer Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter, who was recently recognized to be the most watched female stream in 2020, has talked about her hiatus from streaming, which lasted around a week.
Valkyrae streamed on January 17th, and discussed why she made the decision to take a break, citing that she had already fulfilled her contractually obligated hours of streaming.
“I signed a contract with YouTube a year ago, and as some of you didn’t know and some of you did learn later, I have streaming hours to fulfill and I owe 100 hours a month” she said.
But, I went a little crazy and streamed too much last year which is very bad for my health.”
The streamer went on to say that she turned 29 on January 8th, and she took that as “a good time to turn into an adult so I’m going to do that by probably changing my lifestyle a lot.”
