Pokimane Discusses Why People Donate Money to Successful Twitch Streamers

There is no denying the success and profit that the most popular content creators can generate from their twitch streams, and one of the most successful female streamers on the Twitch platform is breaking down why people continue to feed money to even the most financially set streamers.

“Why do people actually donate to Twitch streamers?” Pokimane said while reading Reddit during a recent stream (h/t ComicBook). “Because people don’t go as far to think ‘how much does this person need my money?’ People donate because they want someone’s attention. And if anything, the richer someone becomes the more valuable their attention becomes. “We all know why. Because most people don’t, you know, we’re not all spending money logically twenty-four-seven. We do things for other reasons.”
